ESIMS 300TR Basic Incident Command System

16.00 Hours The course is intended to serve as a vehicle to share proven incident management strategies and practices as well as to enhance teamwork and coordination among the agency’s “mid-level managers and command staff” directly responsible for emergency response to incidents of all types; i.e., “all hazards” in which the Incident Command System (ICS) will be employed. The course is designed for approximately 50 students per class and utilizes scenarios and application exercises to highlight key issues and facilitate discussion. The concluding tabletop exercise is intended to allow participants to apply the information provided during the course in a controlled environment.

•         Incident Command System Overview

•         Unified Command

•         Incident Response Management

•         Incident/Event Agency Guidance

•         Incident Action Planning- with practical application

Prerequisites IS-700 (Introduction to NIMS); ICS-100 (Introduction to ICS) and, ICS-200 (Basic ICS,)

Audience

First line supervisor level, single resource leader, field supervisor and other emergency management personnel that require a higher level of NIMS/ICS training personnel from the following disciplines/services

•         Fire service

•         Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

•         Hazardous Materials (HazMat)

•         Law Enforcement (LE)

•         Public Health (PH)

•         Public Works (PW)

•         Emergency Management (EM)

•         Government administrative

•         Private Sector and military (if invited by the host jurisdiction)

•         County, state, and federal agency personnel who will respond with a local jurisdiction during a WMD/terrorism incident

Other Information

The course has been revised to contain all of the material required to make it fully “NIMS” compliant” for meeting the FY 2007 NIMS training requirements.

ALL TEEX NIMS/ICS instructors are certified Department of Homeland Security NIMS/ICS instructors and meat/exceed all requirements to teach the ICS-300 course.
