Extremism and Terrorism in the Contemporary World - History 465

The objective of this course is to introduce Texas A&M students to modern extremism and extremist groups in the period since 1945 with emphasis on the last few decades.

Terrorism will be treated as an integral component of extremism.  Course will cover extremism and terrorism in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and the United States.  This course is primarily a lecture course with some time devoted to discussion of the issues covered in the lectures, readings, and current events.
