This page is intended to provide users with a starting point for finding employment in a Homeland Security related field.

TAMU Career Center -- The best place for students or graduates of Texas A&M University to begin their job search.  The Career Center provides a wide variety of information on employment opportunities, including job search tools, resume and interview workshops, and one-on-one career guidance. 

The Bush School of Government and Public Service Career Services-- This website is specifically designed to provide former Bush School students with employment and internship information.  The website also provides students with information on where past Bush School graduates have found employment.

USAJobs-- The US Federal Government's official employment website, which provides user with information on jobs from all branches of the federal government.  The website allows users to search for jobs, post resumes, and apply for jobs all online.  For help using the USAJobs, the website also provides written and video tutorials, which provides users with tips on how to use the websites interface.  To access the tutorials click here.

For employment opportunities at the state or local level, individuals will need to consult their state or localities specific employment website.  For example, click here to visit the state of Texas' employment website, or click on the names of the following cities to view their official employment websites: Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.  While most major cities will have employment websites similar to the examples given, if a particular city or town of interest lacks an official employment website, the next best resource for finding local Homeland Security related jobs would be through Indeed.com.

How To Get A Security Clearance-- Since many jobs related to homeland security require a security clearance of some kind, this document provides basic information for individuals security clearances, including the process of applying for one, definitions of the different types of clearances, and what actions or behaviors could hurt your chances of successfully receiving a clearance.
