The goal of the ISAC is to enable the chemical sector to receive fast and cost-effective access to sensitive information about cyber, physical, and contamination issues. It accomplishes this by providing a venue for DHS to disseminate assessments, advisories, and alerts to the private sector when such incidents are deemed to have possible serious national security, economic, or social consequences.
