Summary of Key Issues, Points, Conclusions:
The Highway Information Sharing and Analysis Center provides information to truck drivers and other members of the nation’s commercial transportation sector about applicable terrorist incidents and threats. The ISAC works to coordinate information from public and private sectors, and disseminate this information to citizens, to help ensure the stability of the nation’s transportation infrastructure. Individuals may become a member of the information network, allowing them greater access to the information that the ISAC possesses, if they are a member of the Highway Watch Coalition, a Highway Watch Professional, or an individual that works or is involved with a Highway Watch Coalition.
