Summary of Key Issues, Points, Conclusions:
Mazu Networks, Inc., designs network intrusion prevention systems for private and public industries. This year, Mazu announced the release of its first “Internal Threat Report”, an examination of the risks internal threats pose to network critical infrastructures. To ensure objectivity, the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), was commissioned to conduct the research. Surveys were completed by over 1,000 IT personnel from 229 U.S. companies. Although companies demonstrated considerable progress in external network security, many underestimated the impact of cyber threats originating from within the company. Individuals can receive a free copy of the “Internal Threat Report” at http://www.mazunetworks.com/news/threat_report.
