Detailed and laid out in chronological order the work allows for fast reading and provides an excellent index for researchers. Conclusions of the work point towards a more capable federal bureaucracy in the fight against terrorist threats, with the caveat that more is needed to safeguard Americans. The Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC), the 9/11 Commission, establishment of a Directory for National Intelligence (DNI) and other initiatives undertaken during the Bush administration are hailed as successful starts to solving the terrorist conundrum facing policy makers in the 21st century.
