Summary of Key Issues, Points, Conclusions:
This report summarizes the results of the Emergency Management of Mass Animal Mortality Workshop.  A list of participants, their organizations, the agenda for the workshop, and their primary concerns with both the topic of discussion and the workshop itself were presented.  The Beef CAFO, Equine Swine and Sheep, and Poultry focus groups also listed what they believed to be the primary concerns of the public in case of a mass carcass management event.  The report also includes several links PDF files that illustrate different aspects of emergency management planning, and will give access to several Texas emergency plans and recommendations.  The report details the result of the model that was enacted during the workshop emphasizes the importance of having the diverse stakeholder groups network and form an open dialogue.
