ICHS Director and Fellow attend 2007 National Congress for Secure Communities

ICHS Fellow Michael Dunaway (left) and Director Dr. Dave McIntyre took part in the National Congress for Secure Communities in Washington D. C. in December. The Congress brings together federal, state and local officials, first responders, members of the media, business leaders, non-profit organizations, academic experts and community leaders as delegates. Dunaway teaches the Fundamentals of Homeland Security course in the graduate Certificate in Homeland Security program at the George Bush School of Government and Public Service. McIntyre moderated a panel on public/private partnerships during the congress. ICHS partnered with CAPSO (Continuing and Professional Studies) at Texas A&M to coordinate a continuing education credit program for delegates to the congress. The congress will continue with additional meetings in communities across the United States through 2008.
